This site came about as a one of those off the cuff remarks which tumbled into a running joke that has now popped into being mainly because of the ease of technology. I never wanted to be a blogger, but now that I have one, I see the attraction.
I’ve been moving back and forth between the Pacific Northwest and Andalusia in the last few years, so a lot of the recipes that appear here will have those influences. But unlike many other food blogs, there’s no overarching theme. I just want to write about great food that I’ve come across. If you’ve made something similar, you have any suggestions, or just want to say hi, please do so! I’ll post up the mistakes I’ve made, because I think that the best thing about food writing on the internet is our ability to crowdsource better things to eat. If I muffed a temperature or timing issue, or discovered a new spice combo through inattention or serendipity, that’ll pop up, too.
I can’t guarantee professional level photography, but I’ll do my best. Have fun, both here and in the kitchen.
